Teaching structure for Bath ST2GP Trainees

  • Programme starts with an Introduction day followed by 8 teaching sessions.

  • Teaching sessions are usually held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday morning of each month.

  • Topics for each session will be agreed by the group.

  • Each trainee is expected to show one presentation, one case discussion and a consultation video. (**videos on hold during Covid**)

  • Trainees are to aspire to attend 10 teaching sessions with a minimum of 70% to allow for annual leave.

  • Additional non-mandatory teaching sessions (Topic Teaching) will be held approximately once a month. Topics will vary over the three year programme.

  • It is the trainee's responsibility to check the timetable and confirm availability with their GP Practice and the GP office. Regular teaching reminders will be sent out.

  • If you do not complete the online feedback your attendance will not be recorded.

  • Regular checks of teaching attendance will be made, especially around 6 month review and ARCP periods.

  • ST2GP teaching replaces the usual ST2 teaching. You are still welcome to attend topic teaching sessions.
